Broocheria!

Brooches that can double as pendants have gained popularity this year because of their  versatility and, in hard economic times,  buying one is like getting a 2- for-1 jewelry deal. Since brooches can  reveal much about their wearers, we have been searching for brooches with personality and flair. Today we introduced a whimsical and versatile line of sea creatures crafted in smoothly polished sterling silver--sunfish, dolphin, starfish, angelfish, stingray, seahorse, and even an octopus--all of which can be worn either as a brooch or a pendant. One day wear your sea friend pinned on your sweater, the next put it on a chain and wear as a pendant. The shapes are smooth and elegant and sterling silver seems to be the perfect reflection of cool sea breezes and waters. These make terrific Christmas gifts for the woman in love with the sand and sea.

Brooches were always thought to be for the "older" women but these days because the designs are so different and varied that has all changed. I see my 23 year old daughter a variety of brooches over the last while. This one is lovely, simple design and great craftsmanship. A brooch pendant is a good buy. We are currently designing a signature and very special one at www.irishheart.com

Oh these are so elegant and lovely! Broaches can double up as handbag clasps, can be used on the back of sweaters to make them fit better, and can be worn in hair! I absolutely love them. Especially vintage and antique broaches!

That's a beautiful brooch, and a fantastic article.
If I had the confidence, I'd wear a brooch. I found a turquoise one that I'm in love with. Here's the look if you want to take a look at it: http://www.silverjewelryetc.com/sterling-silver-bumble-bee-pin
